Making an Application
MyChoice@16 – Online Application System
Students at a Cambridge Area Partnership (CAP) School
Students who attend a Cambridge Area Partnership (CAP) school should use MyChoice16 to make an application online at mychoice16.co.uk
Students currently attending a CAP school will have the post-16 application process introduced to them by their teachers and an account will be set up for them.
Students not at a Cambridge Area Partnership (CAP) School
Students not currently attending a CAP school should also use the online application system at mychoice16.co.uk, but will need to register and set up their own account.
If you have any questions about how to apply please get in touch at [email protected]
Step 1 – Submit an application
Make an online application at [email protected] by Tuesday 12th January 2027
Application submitted after the deadline may be considered depending on spaces remaining.
Step 2 – Attend an admissions guidance meeting
Students who put Comberton as their 1st or 2nd choice centre, and who’s predicted grades meet the entry requirements for the courses they have applied for, will be invited to attend an admissions guidance meeting.
The purpose of this meeting is to:
- Discuss subject choice and confirm your programme of study.
- Think about our range of additional studies
- Answer any questions.
Step 3 – Offer of study
Following the completion of the admissions guidance meetings, students will be sent an offer of study, confirming courses chocies.
Any offer made will be conditional on the programme and subject specific entry requirements being met by the final grades achieved in the summer.
Students are asked to respond to the offer – it is possible to accept and hold multiple offers from more than one post-16 centre.
Step 4 – Welcome Day
All offer holders are invited to attend our Welcome Day in the summer term following the end of GCSE exams.
This day includes:
- Introductory subject lessons
- Welcome talk from the Head of Sixth Form
- A chance to explore the sixth form and its facilities.
- A welcome BBQ
Step 5 – Results Day & Enrolment
Once students receive their results in August they will need to confirm if they want to take up their place with us or not.
Members of the Sixth Form Team are on hand on results day and the days following to meet with students who need advice and guidance.
