Getting to Comberton Village College and Sixth Form is straightforward, with several transport options available depending on where you live and your circumstances. Each route has its own benefits and considerations, and the information below explains what families need to know about bus passes, public transport, Sixth Form travel, lost property and what to do if a bus doesn’t arrive.
Transport Information
Students in Years 7–11 who live in Comberton’s catchment villages and more than three miles from the college are entitled to free transport provided by Cambridgeshire County Council.
- Bus passes are issued automatically during the summer.
- Queries about missing passes: [email protected] or 0345 045 5208.
- Lost passes cost £8.50 to replace (apply online).
- A temporary pass can be issued for one week, and then for a further 10 days once proof of replacement purchase is shown.
Students living outside the catchment area may be able to purchase a seat on buses contracted by Comberton Sixth Form or use public transport.
- Comberton bus passes are paid termly and issued as e‑passes.
- E‑passes should be saved to a smartphone and scanned on boarding.
- Laminated QR copies are available on request.
Sixth Form students generally need to arrange and fund their own transport unless eligible for support.
- Subsidised travel is available for students from low‑income families (eligibility link required).

Lost Property
- Drivers often return found items on the next journey.
- Unclaimed items are handed to school reception and placed in lost property.
- Parents may also contact the bus company directly using downloadable contact details.
- The school is not responsible for locating or chasing lost items.
